Community Marketplace Behavior Policy
Guidelines and enforcement for conduct in the Uhpenry marketplace.
The Uhpenry Community Marketplace is a shared environment built to support collaboration, innovation, and monetization of developer projects. To maintain fairness, safety, and a professional standard, all users must adhere to this Behavior Policy when participating in marketplace activities.
This policy applies to all interactions involving project listings, purchases, communications, and contributions on the platform.
Violations of this Marketplace Behavior Policy may also overlap with other related platform policies. Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with additional enforcement areas such as our Acceptable Use Policies, Bullying and Harassment, Sexually Obscene Content, Active Malware or Exploits, Forking and Cloning Policy, Doxxing and Invasion of Privacy, Misinformation and Disruption Policy, and Impersonation and Misrepresentation Policy.
Respectful Conduct
All users must engage respectfully and professionally. This includes, but is not limited to:
- No harassment, bullying, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, orientation, nationality, disability, or otherwise.
- No inflammatory, offensive, or abusive language in listings, comments, reviews, or user profiles.
- No threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse of any kind.
Honest Representation
You must not:
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation.
- List projects as your own that you did not author or are not authorized to distribute.
- Falsely advertise features, ownership, license status, or functionality of your projects.
Integrity of Listings
All projects listed on the Uhpenry marketplace must:
- Comply with open-source license terms if derived from existing codebases.
- Clearly disclose if they are forks, clones, or remixes of other projects.
- Not contain malicious code, backdoors, or undisclosed tracking.
Prohibited Behavior
The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal or ban:
- Monetizing another user's work without permission or required attribution.
- Spamming users or the platform through fraudulent listings or solicitations.
- Review manipulation, including fake reviews or incentivizing positive feedback.
- Evading bans, policy enforcement, or attempting to bypass detection systems.
Reporting Violations
Users may report suspected violations via the appropriate report page. Uhpenry investigates all reports seriously and will take appropriate enforcement action.
Enforcement & Penalties
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Warning or temporary suspension.
- Permanent account ban and delisting of associated projects.
- Revenue forfeiture if monetization was gained through misconduct.
- Denial of future access to the platform.
