Misinformation & Disruption Policy
Policy outlining acceptable use related to misinformation, disruption, and abuse on Uhpenry.
At Uhpenry, we are committed to building a collaborative and trustworthy environment for developers, builders, and users. To protect the integrity of our platform and community, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
Misinformation
You may not knowingly or negligently distribute, promote, or amplify content that is false or misleading, including but not limited to:
- False claims about the functionality, ownership, or security of a listed project or gated-source repository.
- Misrepresenting your identity, affiliations, credentials, or qualifications in profile or project descriptions.
- Publishing deceptive changelogs or documentation that misleads users or users.
Platform Disruption
You may not use Uhpenry in ways that disrupt or degrade the experience for others, including:
- Excessively automating actions (e.g., creating spam accounts or triggering abusive webhooks) in a way that burdens the platform.
- Running denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or deploying exploits on Uhpenry infrastructure or integrated services (e.g., GitHub APIs).
- Circumventing rate limits, authentication flows, or feature restrictions through unauthorized methods.
Abuse of Features
The following are considered abusive behavior and are not allowed:
- Using Uhpenry's publishing, marketplace, or snapgate systems to distribute or sell malicious, stolen, or obfuscated code.
- Gaming analytics or metrics (e.g., falsely inflating view counts, "seen" numbers, reviews, or contributions).
- Exploiting bugs or undocumented features without disclosing them responsibly to the Uhpenry team.
Coordinated Harm
You may not engage in or facilitate coordinated attacks, harassment, or manipulation campaigns, including:
- Organizing or participating in efforts to mass-report users or projects without valid reason.
- Deliberately attempting to sabotage another user's reputation, marketplace listing, or repository visibility.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Content removal or project takedowns.
- Feature restrictions, including publishing, snapgate, or integration access.
- Account suspension or termination, with or without notice.
For urgent or high-impact violations, Uhpenry reserves the right to act immediately to protect the platform and its users.
