Doxxing and Invasion of Privacy
Prohibition of posting private or identifying information of others without explicit consent.
Uhpenry prohibits the sharing of private or personally identifiable information (PII) without consent. Doxxing, publishing private information with intent to harass, intimidate, or cause harm, is strictly forbidden and will result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Prohibited Content
You may not post or share the following information about any individual without their clear, verifiable consent:
- Private or personal email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Physical addresses or geolocation data (including real-time location)
- Government-issued IDs (e.g., Social Security, National ID, passport numbers)
- Financial information (bank accounts, credit cards, crypto wallets tied to identities)
- Medical or health-related data
- Biometric data (fingerprints, facial scans, etc.)
- Passwords or login credentials
- Voter registration or political affiliation details
- Personally revealing metadata in files, images, or videos
Consent and Context
If someone has made certain personal information publicly available themselves (e.g., a business email on their portfolio), referencing it in appropriate contexts may not violate this policy.
However, intent and context matter. If the information is used to:
- Harass, intimidate, or threaten
- Encourage others to do so
- Incite targeted abuse or brigading
…it will be considered a violation, regardless of public availability elsewhere.
Media and Recordings
Media files (photos, videos, audio) that include individuals without their consent, especially if shared to provoke or harm, may also be considered a privacy violation. This includes:
- Screenshots of private communications (DMs, emails) shared maliciously
- Recordings of private conversations
- Edited or deepfake media used for harassment or defamation
Member and Project Metadata
For collaborative work on Uhpenry, sharing internal metadata (e.g., collaborator emails, private repos, internal URLs) without permission may be treated as a privacy breach if it exposes individual identities or causes reputational harm.
Reporting and Enforcement
If your privacy has been violated, or if you notice content that may violate this policy:
- Report it immediately via uhpenry.com/report or email support@uhpenry.com
- We will assess the situation considering context, potential harm, and public interest
Violations may result in:
- Content removal
- Temporary or permanent account suspension
- Escalation to law enforcement if safety is at risk
Summary
Uhpenry is a booth for creative, safe, and collaborative work. Misusing the platform to expose or target others through personal data undermines the community and will not be tolerated.
