Snapgate Moderation Policy
Establishes the rights and obligations of Booths and Users with respect to post-Snapgate access moderation, code usage compliance, and dispute resolution.
This Snapgate Moderation Policy (“Policy”) governs the authority of Booth operators (“Booths”) to manage, suspend, or revoke access to purchased projects on the Uhpenry platform (“Platform”) following a Snapgate transaction (Snapcharge), and sets forth the dispute resolution procedures available to Users.
This Policy forms part of, and is subject to, the Terms of Service.
1. Authority and Scope
1.1 Upon completion of a Snapgate transaction (snapcharge), the Booth retains administrative authority to monitor and enforce compliance with the applicable license terms, usage descriptions, and any restrictions disclosed at the point of sale.
1.2 This Policy applies solely to post-Snapgate moderation actions and does not limit Uhpenry's independent enforcement rights under the Terms of Service.
2. Grounds for Moderation Action
2.1 A Booth owner/member may take moderation action against a user where there is a reasonable and documented basis to believe that the user has:
- (a) Redistributed the code in violation of the applicable license.
- (b) Exceeded the licensed scope (e.g., using a single-seat license for multiple users).
- (c) Modified and misrepresented the work as their own contrary to license terms.
- (d) Engaged in behavior intended to circumvent platform protections or licensing restrictions.
- (e) Used the project in a manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious.
3. Permissible Moderation Actions
3.1 Where grounds under Section 2 exist, the Booth may:
-
(a) Temporarily suspend access to the purchased code.
-
(b) Permanently revoke access to the purchased code.
-
(c) Submit a formal violation report to Uhpenry via the internal moderation system.
3.2 Moderation actions may include the termination of platform-based access to updates, patches, or Booth-provided support, even if the User retains a local copy of the purchased code.
4. Dispute Resolution
4.1 Affected users may initiate a dispute. Refer to Dispute Resolution Policy for further information.
5. Recordkeeping
5.1 Booth owner/member must maintain sufficient records of the alleged violation, including timestamps, transaction identifiers, and any relevant communications, for a minimum of one (1) year following the moderation action.
5.2 Failure to maintain adequate documentation may result in reversal of the moderation action by Uhpenry.
6. Purpose and Enforcement
6.1 This Policy is intended to safeguard the integrity of licensed works, ensure compliance with intellectual property rights, and maintain the trust and safety of the Platform.
6.2 Any abuse of moderation privileges by a Booth may result in corrective action, including suspension of the Booth's account, reversal of moderation actions, or other measures deemed necessary by Uhpenry.
Content Moderation Policy
Establishes the rules, scope, and procedures by which Uhpenry moderates content on the Platform, including automated actions, user reporting, review, and enforcement.
Appeal and Reinstatement Policy
Outlines Uhpenry's procedures and limitations regarding account suspensions, enforcement actions, and appeals, including the deprioritization of appeal review.
