Payment Processor Policy
Terms governing the use of third-party payment processors for transactions, payouts, and related services on Uhpenry.
This Payment Processor Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Uhpenry Terms of Service. By engaging in any transaction on Uhpenry, including the purchase, licensing, or sale of projects, you (“User” or “Booth”) agree to the terms set forth herein, in conjunction with the Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
1. Payment Processing Provider
1.1 Uhpenry engages Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates (“Stripe”) as its designated third-party payment processor, utilizing Stripe Connect to facilitate transactions in compliance with applicable financial, tax, and anti-fraud regulations.
1.2 All Snapcharges, payouts, refunds, and applicable fee deductions are executed exclusively through Stripe.
1.3 Uhpenry does not directly collect, process, or store full payment card information. All payment information is processed via encrypted channels in accordance with PCI-DSS compliance standards.
2. Payment Account Verification
2.1 In order to receive payouts, each Booth must:
(a) Create and maintain a verified Stripe Connect account;
(b) Agree to Stripe's Terms of Service; and
(c) Provide valid payout details and complete identity verification as required by Stripe.
2.2 Failure to complete verification will result in the inability to process sales or disburse funds.
3. User Payments
3.1 Users may remit payment using:
-
Credit or debit cards;
-
Digital wallets supported by Stripe (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay); and
-
Region-specific payment methods as supported by Stripe.
3.2 All payments are processed by Stripe using encrypted, PCI-compliant systems.
4. Fees and Deductions
4.1 Payment processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 USD per transaction, or as otherwise determined by Stripe based on region and currency) are deducted by Stripe at the time of Snapcharge.
4.2 Uhpenry's Platform Fee, as defined in the Platform Fee Policy, is calculated on the net amount received after deduction of Stripe's fees.
4.3 The net balance after all applicable deductions is remitted to the Booth's Stripe Connect account.
5. Refunds
5.1 Refunds are processed exclusively through Stripe and may be initiated by the Booth or by Uhpenry, including through the Booth Dashboard.
5.2 All associated payment processor fees (including Stripe fees) are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
5.3 Refunds will be credited to the User's original payment method in accordance with Stripe's refund timelines and procedures.
5.4 All refunds are subject to Uhpenry's Refund Policy, which forms part of this Payment Processor Policy by reference.
6. Payouts
6.1 Payout schedules are determined solely by Stripe and may vary based on the Booth's region, banking institution, and account status.
6.2 Uhpenry does not intentionally delay payouts, except in cases of fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other compliance requirements.
7. Disputes and Chargebacks
7.1 In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, Stripe will manage the process in accordance with its dispute resolution procedures.
7.2 Booths are responsible for providing evidence in support of the transaction, which may include:
-
Proof of delivery or access (e.g., snapshot logs);
-
Correspondence with the user; and
-
Any other relevant documentation.
7.3 Uhpenry may assist in dispute handling but assumes no liability for funds lost as a result of a chargeback or dispute determination.
7.4 Repeated chargebacks may result in account review, suspension, or termination.
8. Currency
8.1 All prices and Snapcharges on Uhpenry are displayed and processed in United States Dollars (USD), unless otherwise stated.
8.2 If payment is made in a currency other than USD, Stripe will perform currency conversion at prevailing exchange rates at the time of transaction.
9. Taxes
9.1 Booths are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any applicable taxes, including but not limited to VAT, GST, or sales tax, unless configured and enabled through Stripe Tax.
9.2 Uhpenry does not collect or remit taxes on behalf of Booths except where legally required to do so.
10. Security and Fraud Prevention
10.1 Stripe implements industry-standard security measures including:
-
PCI-DSS compliance;
-
3D Secure authentication;
-
Tokenization of sensitive data; and
-
Automated fraud monitoring and review.
10.2 Uhpenry employs additional safeguards including rate limits, IP restrictions, and blacklist enforcement to detect and mitigate suspicious activity.
