Uhpenry Booth Terms

Rules, responsibilities, and policies booths must agree to when selling on Uhpenry.

These Booth Terms ("Terms") outline the responsibilities and expectations for user who creates a booths account on Uhpenry to publish digital products (eg. projects), or other software-related products and services ("Content"). By creating a booth account, you agree to comply with these Terms, the Uhpenry Terms of Service, and the Refund Policy.


Booth Responsibilities

  • Accurate Listings: You must accurately describe your Content, including any features, requirements, restrictions, and expected support.
  • Rights & Ownership: You must have the legal right to sell or distribute any Content you list.
  • Support & Communication: You are responsible for resolving issues and communicating professionally with users during and after the access wether free or paid.
  • Policy Accuracy: You must ensure that the policies and licensing provided at snapgate reflect your intent. Updates to these terms cannot retroactively affect past purchases.

Booth Support Policy

Uhpenry provides a built-in support system to facilitate communication between booths and users. This system allows you to track messages, respond to requests, and manage disputes directly through the platform.

  • Booths are required to provide:

    • A support email address, for external support.
    • A professional contact link, such as a portfolio, company website, or developer support page
  • Prohibited support links include:

    • Personal blogs (e.g., Medium, Tumblr)
    • Broken, inactive, or misleading websites
    • Malicious or unsafe destinations
  • You are responsible for alerting users about issues, updates, or migrations, whether the content is free or paid. Uhpenry provides the support tools, but it is the booth owner's responsibility to ensure users are informed.

  • Repeated reports of unresponsiveness may result in your trust badge being downgraded or restricted.

Booth Trust Badges

Your account will be rated with a public trust badge visible to users:

  • best
  • good
  • poor

Booth standing affects platform visibility and user trust. Abuse or neglect may result in reduced reach, promotion, or listing visibility.


Snapshots and Binding Agreements

You agree that Uhpenry will capture and store immutable Uhpenry Snapshots Policy of each transaction (snapcharge). These Snapshots include project details, terms, license, pricing, and refund policies at the time of checkout (snapgate). These records are cryptographically signed and are legally binding for resolving disputes, verifying compliance, and ensuring clarity for users.


Dispute Period and Escalation

  • Booths owners/members must define a dispute period (between 7 and 105 days) during which users can raise concerns.
  • Disputes may involve issues like misleading listings, license issues, broken access, or delivery failures.
  • Booths must engage in good faith to resolve disputes.
  • If unresolved, Uhpenry may intervene, and both parties must provide supporting evidence (e.g., logs, messages, screenshots).

Project Updates and Access

  • You may offer updates to a project (e.g., bug fixes, new features, or version tags).
  • Users receive updates based on your access model (free or paid).
  • Each update generates a new Snapshot at the time it is accessed.
  • Booths must not revoke access to a previously purchased version unless supported by a refund policy or ToS-compliant action.

Fees and Refunds

  • Uhpenry applies a platform fee on all completed transactions (snapcharges) and are not refundable.
  • All payments are processed via Stripe Connect.
  • Stripe fees are deducted at the time of payment and are not refundable.
  • Booths must define clear refund terms that align with the Uhpenry Refund Policy.

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Sell or list content you do not own or have distribution rights for
  • Mislead users about your product's features, license, or contents
  • Circumvent Uhpenry's fee system or transact off-platform
  • Artificially manipulate reviews or abuse platform metrics

Violations can result in takedown, delisting, visibility restriction, or permanent booth removal.

Platform Moderation Rights

Uhpenry reserves the right to:

  • Monitor booth activity for abuse, fraud, and violations
  • Remove or restrict content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Hide listings under legal dispute, takedown, or abuse investigation
  • Notify booths of serious reports and offer remediation windows where applicable

Intellectual Property and Licensing

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • By listing your content on Uhpenry, you grant us a limited license to display, promote, and enable access via platform features (e.g., search, snapgate, snapshots).

Termination and Enforcement

Uhpenry may restrict or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or fail to resolve repeated complaints. Account deletion does not affect prior Snapshots or user access unless the snapcharge is refunded or invalidated under policy review.
