Uhpenry Feature Terms

Defines the platform-specific features, operational models, and data-handling rules that govern how Booths and Users use Uhpenry. These terms form part of the Terms of Service and are contractually binding.

These Uhpenry Feature Terms (“Feature Terms”) supplement the Terms of Service and govern the specific functionality, data flows, and access rights applicable to Booths and Users on the Uhpenry platform (“Platform”).
By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Feature Terms in addition to the Terms of Service.


1. Definitions

1.1 Snapshot – A verifiable, cryptographically signed state record generated whenever a Snapcharge is created or updated.
1.2 Snapcharge – A commercial transaction on the Platform, including any payment, license grant, or gated resource access.
1.3 Snapgate – The secure access point through which a Snapcharge is initiated and validated.
1.4 Gated Source – A controlled-access model for source code or resources, requiring satisfaction of predefined conditions (e.g., payment, license agreement).
1.5 Audit Log – A record of actions taken on a Booth account, including actions by Booth Owners and Members, maintained for security and compliance purposes.


2. Snapshots

2.1 Snapshots contain:

  • Snapgate

  • Project metadata and version/tag at Snapgate

  • Pricing and payment details

  • Terms, refund, and license policies in effect at the time

  • User(Purchaser) and Booth identity

  • Snapcharge and it signature data

    2.2 Snapshots are not deleted. Any update (including refunds) generates a new signed record, linked cryptographically to the prior state.

    2.3 Snapshots contains snapcharge which are publicly verifiable through Uhpenry's key-signing repository.
    Blockchain anchoring for additional immutability may be implemented in the future.


3. Snapcharges

3.1 Each Snapcharge automatically gets added to Snapshot tied to the Snapgate at the moment of payment succeeds.
3.2 Snapcharges may represent perpetual (one-time) purchases, subscriptions, tiered pricing, or upgrades.
3.3 Updates to a project create a new snapcharge under a snapgate rather than modifying the original.


4. Snapgates

4.1 A Snapgate are the container in which a snapcharge (transaction) can completed.
4.2 The Snapgate keeps track of failed and succeeded snapcharge.
4.3 Stripe is the exclusive payment processor used in Snapgates to complete payment (snapcharges).


5. Gated Source Model

5.1 The Gated Source model is a hybrid between open and closed source:

  • Open source – unrestricted public access.

  • Closed source – entirely private access.

  • Gated source – access only after satisfying conditions such as payment or license agreement.

    5.2 Users receive proof of rights through their associated Snapshot.


6. Standard Model

6.1 Under the Standard Model, Users receive either:
(a) Download Access – one-time delivery of a specific version; or
(b) Invitation Access – ongoing repository access via direct invitation.

6.2 Download Access does not include future updates unless separately purchased.
6.3 Invitation Access remains valid for as long as the Booth maintains the User's repository permissions.
6.4 All Standard Model transactions are sealed with a Snapshot.


7. Showcase Model

7.1 The Showcase Model enables display of projects without direct sale on Uhpenry.
7.2 No Snapcharges, Snapshots, or gated access are created under this model.


8. Secure Snapgate System

8.1 Uhpenry's secure Snapgate system includes:

  • Real-time payment validation

  • Automatic Snapshot creation

  • Booth-specific refund and dispute windows

  • Transaction tracking suitable for audit

    8.2 Users receive an exportable Snapcharge receipt and signature.
    8.3 Booths benefit from automated access control enforcement.


9. Audit Logs and Access Rights

9.1 Booth-Level Audit Logs

Uhpenry maintains Booth-level audit logs recording:

  • Member logins and account access events
  • Transactions and Snapcharge modifications
  • Permission changes, invitations, and removals
  • Refund and dispute actions

9.2 Access to Audit Logs

  • Booth Owners have access to all audit logs for their Booth and its Members.
  • Booth Members may view only those logs relevant to their own account activity.
  • Uhpenry administrators may access logs as required for compliance, dispute resolution, or security investigation.
