Creating Booth

This section provides an extremely detailed guide to help you create and understand your booth and connect your GitHub profiles, to organize projects and manage repositories, and monetize your work seamlessly.

A Booth is a dedicated area on the platform where you connect your GitHub account to manage repositories, projects, and monetization seamlessly. It acts as the foundation for organizing your projects and earning revenue.

How to Create a Booth

Creating a Booth is quick and straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Accessing the Booth Page:

    • Once authenticated, navigate to your Dashboard.
    • Click on the “Booth” link in the sidebar. This will take you to the Booth page, where you can:
      • View existing booths you've already created.
      • Create a new Booth.
  2. Using the Shortcut:

    • Alternatively, at the top of the sidebar, click on the “Create Booth” button to initiate the process.
  3. Creating the Booth:

    • Provide a name for your Booth.
    • Confirm the creation.
  4. Creating Multiple Booths:

    • You can create as many Booths as you need to organize and manage different projects efficiently.
    • Each booth can be connected to the same GitHub profile or different ones, giving you flexibility in managing personal and team projects.

Note: Every project you create on the platform will belong to a specific Booth.

Connecting Your GitHub Account

Once your Booth is created, the next step is to connect your GitHub account:

  1. Click the “Connect” Link:

    • In your Booth, click on the “Connect” link.
  2. Install the GitHub App:

    • You will be prompted to install the platform's GitHub App.
    • Choose whether to install it on your Personal Profile or an Organization Profile.
  3. Grant Necessary Permissions:

    • The app requires specific permissions to access repositories and track changes.
    • Ensure you grant the required access to enable seamless integration.
  4. Managing Multiple Booths:

    • You can connect multiple Booths to a single GitHub account.
    • This allows you to separate and manage projects by different categories, purposes, or teams while maintaining full control.

Connecting Your Stripe Account

After connecting your GitHub account, you must connect your Stripe account to start receiving funds:

  1. Navigate to “Connect Stripe”:

    • In your Booth settings, click on the “Connect Stripe” link.
    • Follow the Stripe onboarding process to link your account.
  2. Start Earning:

    • Once connected, any project monetization will immediately direct funds into your Stripe account.

Important Considerations

  1. Projects and Booths:

    • Every project you create on the platform is tied to a specific Booth.
    • If you delete a Booth, you will lose all projects associated with it.
  2. Multiple Booths:

    • You can create multiple Booths for better organization and connect them to a single GitHub profile or different profiles.
  3. Account Deletion:

    • If you delete your account, you will lose everything, including:
      • Booths
      • Projects
      • Earnings history
  4. Plan Ahead:

    • Be cautious when managing your Booths and account settings to avoid accidental loss of data.
