Creating Account

Creating an account on Uhpenry is the first step toward accessing all the platform's features. The registration process is simple, secure, and user-friendly.

Step 1: Navigate to the Registration Page

  1. Open your web browser and go to the official Uhpenry website:

  2. On the homepage, click the “Sign Up” button:

    • Located in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
    • Alternatively, you can scroll to the “Get Started” section and click the “Create Account” button.

Step 2: Choose Your Account Type

Upon clicking “Sign Up,” you will be prompted to choose the type of account you wish to create:

  1. Seller Account

    • Select this option if you plan to sell projects, templates, or components on the platform.
    • Benefits include:
      • Monetize your source code.
      • Full control over access and licensing.
      • Stripe integration for secure payments.
  2. User Account

    • Select this option if you want to browse, purchase, and download projects.
    • Benefits include:
      • Access high-quality source code.
      • Browse projects by category, tech stack, and more.
      • Leave reviews to provide feedback.

Note: You can upgrade or modify your account type later in your dashboard settings if needed.


Step 3: Fill in Your Information

After selecting your account type, you'll be directed to the Registration Form. Complete the following fields:

  1. Full Name

    • Enter your real name or the name you'd like displayed on your profile.
  2. Email Address

    • Provide a valid email address.
    • This will be used for account verification, notifications, and platform updates.
  3. Password

    • Create a strong password that meets the following criteria:
      • At least 8 characters long.
      • Contains uppercase and lowercase letters.
      • Includes at least one number and one special character (e.g., !@#$%^&*).

    Example: Dev@2024Code!

  4. Confirm Password

    • Re-enter your password to ensure it matches.
  5. Optional Fields:

    • Profile Picture: Upload an image to personalize your account.
    • Bio: Write a short description about yourself, your skills, or your purpose for using the platform.

Step 4: Agree to Terms and Privacy Policy

Before submitting the form:

  1. Review the platform's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy:

    • Click on the provided links to read the full details.
    • These outline the rules, data handling policies, and your rights as a user.
  2. Check the box that says:

    • “I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.”

Step 5: Verify Your Email Address

  1. Once you submit the registration form, a verification email will be sent to the email address you provided.

  2. Open your email inbox and look for a message from Uhpenry:

    • Subject line: “Verify Your Email Address”.
    • If you don't see the email, check your Spam or Promotions folder.
  3. Click the verification link in the email.

    • This link will confirm your email address and activate your account.
    • If the link expires, you can request a new verification email from the login page.

Important: Email verification ensures the security of your account and helps prevent fraudulent activity.


Step 6: Log In to Your Account

After verifying your email:

  1. Return to the Uhpenry website.
  2. Click “Log In” on the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter your registered email and password.
  4. Click “Sign In” to access your dashboard.

Once logged in, you'll be directed to your Dashboard. Take a moment to complete your profile:

  1. Go to the “Profile Settings” section.
  2. Add or update the following details:
    • Profile Picture: Upload a professional or relevant image.
    • Bio: A short, engaging description of yourself or your goals.
    • Social Links: Add GitHub, LinkedIn, or portfolio links.

Why it matters: A complete profile increases trust, especially for sellers, and makes it easier for users to connect with you.


Troubleshooting Common Issues

  1. Didn't Receive the Verification Email?

    • Check your Spam or Promotions folder.
    • Ensure your email address was entered correctly during registration.
    • Click the “Resend Verification Email” link on the login page.
  2. Password Issues

    • Use the “Forgot Password?” option on the login page to reset your password.
    • Ensure your password meets the security criteria.
  3. Browser Compatibility

    • Ensure you're using a modern browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
